60% deposit is necessary to secure your booking. No order is considered confirmed, and production of your cake will only commence upon receipt of the deposit.
The remaining balance must be paid in full 6 weeks prior to the scheduled delivery date. Failure to settle the outstanding balance by the specified due date may result in cancellation of your cake order.
Cake alterations & cancellations
Please note that you may change the design and flavour of your cake, given that you provide a minimum of 4 weeks' notice prior to the scheduled due date. Any modifications to the original quote will necessitate a review and evaluation of the viability of the requested changes.
While deposits and fully paid cakes are non-refundable, you may apply them as a credit towards a future cake order, provided you furnish 4-6 weeks' notice for the new order.
Allergies
Please note that Cheskabakes will not be held responsible for any allergy-related issues. All cakes and ingredients may contain or come into contact with dairy, wheat, nuts, soy, gluten, and other potential allergens, unless otherwise specified on your order.
Cake Deliveries
A recipient must be present to accept cake delivery. If no one is available, the cake will be returned to our facility, requiring pickup from Ellenbrook. Deliveries occur between 9am and 12noon; late receipt may incur an additional fee.
Cake props
With your cake, we provide a comprehensive Cake Care and Cake Portion Guide, outlining essential instructions for handling non-edible cake decorations. These decorations, including sugar figurines, may be secured to the cake using foam and wooden sticks. Please be aware that some figurines and decorations may contain wire or toothpicks, posing a risk of choking or harm if ingested. As the recipient, it is your responsibility to inform consumers of the cake about potential risks. Cheskabakes will not be held responsible or liable for any harm, loss, injury, or claim resulting from the ingestion of decorating materials or props.
Damaged Cakes or Incorrect Storage
Once your cake or dessert has been delivered, we relinquish all liability for any damage that may be inflicted upon any part of the cake or dessert while in your custody, including damage resulting from incorrect storage or handling. In instances where pickup is chosen, transportation of the cake or dessert is performed at your own discretion, and we will not assume responsibility for any damage incurred during transit.
Image Use Cheskabakes maintains the right to capture and utilise photographs of your cakes and/or desserts prior to, during, and following final display. These images may be utilized for marketing, advertising, educational purposes, and other promotional activities, including social media, without any compensation to you.
